Meditation & Mindfulness with Michelle
Michelle started meditating shortly after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She tried many different group meditations, techniques, visualizations and self-affirmations that she still utilizes on a daily basis but what really worked best for her and made a huge shift in her life is when she discovered Vipassana. Vipassana, which means “to see things as they really are” is one of India’s most ancient techniques of meditation taught in various centers around the world. As a new student, you must attend a 10-day Silent meditation course first.
If you are like most people I already work with, you will not take the time to assist to a ten day course. That’s when my services come in handy! We work together to help you understand the basics of the method, to encourage you to practice sufficiently so that you can experience the beneficial results and to learn how to apply it in your daily life. The goal is not only to develop mastery over the mind but to ultimately learn the art of self-observation and develop equanimity by learning not to react. The entire practice is a mental training. Just as we use physical exercise to improve our bodily health, Vipassana can be used to develop a healthy mind, relieve stress and provide a better understanding of your thought process.
